Initially engaged to review the No Wrong Door website for the three outer-east Council’s, Hatrick and Co developed a brand – ConnectUs – with a new approach, platform and marketing strategy to help young people be supported to be their best selves.

No Wrong Door (NWD) was a system-wide initiative supported by the three Local Government Authorities (LGAs) in the Outer East: Yarra Ranges, Knox and Maroondah City Councils. The philosophy of the No Wrong Door project hinged on a commitment from services and schools to actively support young people to connect with the services and supports they need to thrive; ensuring that each young person receives appropriate support for their needs, regardless of whatever door or service they walk through.  One of the key achievements of the initiative was the development of an online youth service directory, www.nowrongdoor.com.au which the three LGAs jointly manage and update. Several years on from its launch, the usage rate had experienced significant decline, indicating that the resource was now less effective than it could be.

Through extensive stakeholder consultation, including facilitating workshops for service providers and consumers (including at-risk cohorts) the ConnectUs brand was developed as well as a marketing communications plan.

This fresh, youthful brand aims to connect young people to the services and supports they need to be their best selves.
